QX-Story

In 1995, Thomas Fuchs founded an institute in Frankfurt dedicated to connecting students with exclusive international internship opportunities. The innovative format and unconventional selection process quickly captured public attention, attracting a high number of applicants. As a natural outcome, the selected students expressed a strong desire for ongoing exchange and deeper engagement. To meet this demand, he introduced the Quarterly Crossing Saturday brunch—a quarterly gathering for selected participants and their peers. Over time, this event became synonymous with the community itself and ultimately inspired the name of the network.
Thus, the concept of what is now universally known as "networking" was already being practiced—long before it became recognized as an essential pillar of a successful career. Always guided by the principle of mutual inspiration—learning from one another and growing together.
The "Crossings" initially took place quarterly with students in Munich. Over time, they expanded across Germany and eventually included members of all seniority levels. As members gained professional and leadership experience, and with the continuous influx of new talent, the network evolved organically and dynamically to meet changing needs. Today, QX offers a diverse portfolio of over 90 formats worldwide, tailored to various career aspirations and life stages.
